One of our grocery chains has decided to put up these signs again and of course many of the slaves complied. It does actually say that they “request” that face coverings be worn but I will not acquiesce to their request and I REALLY wish other people would stop complying with this ridiculousness!

@DameAshley I went to a Home Depot last night here and they had a similar big sign. I ignored it. Walked past a cashier - we said hi to each other. She was masked. Pretty eyes, would have liked to seen her smile.Got my salt, checked out at her station. Pleasantries back and forth, never a word on mask nor vaxx.I feel sorry for her - the job is probably forcing her to muzzle up.

@DameAshley From the stuff I am hearing today, the "request" for masks on August 6th may have been a month too late. By the time the government reacted to the new Covid Spread from the US-Mexican border at the end of July, the mess had already had a foothold in society and nothing was going to stop the spread except for herd immunity.This next wave is going to happen with or without masks as the Coof has already been spread.

@hogihung I feel awful for everyone working with the public too. It’s not fair to them at all. Haven’t had any issues yet with any customers or staff saying anything to me about a mask but I’m just not looking forward to the fight again. 😞

@DameAshley I was chased about 25 ft into the store by a clerk shaking a dispoable mask at in my local Walmart on Saturday. If push come to shove, I had a face covering in my pocket, but I like the fear in their eye when I said "no thanks" and they assumed I am unvaccinated by the "John 3:16" hat I was wearing. 🤣 @hogihung

@MountainJay we are lucky to have a meat supplier from a friend we met through No Agenda and I do try farmers markets as much as possible as well. I hate even going to Giant Eagle but sometimes I just need to grab something quickly. Guess I just need to plan better. The other grocery stores don’t have those signs up..yet.

@cgarison @DameAshley @hogihung lol. Same story here in Denver. I went to Walmart and the greeter was offering everyone a mask and all took one. When he offered me, I said no thank you, I don't need one. He was shocked and froze for a sec. I kept walking.

@DameAshley @hogihung super good to have a calm, collected reaction as often as possible. Cavaliers are definitely on our team and important but a calm “no thanks” shows them that it’s not a tribalism issue, it’s a regular human who understands this situation very differently than they do. I had a greeter at a store do the same, they seem so worried when you say no thanks to the mask. Then on the way out the old lady smiled us up big from behind hers and gave my son a really sweet good bye.

@Wilkinsonus @DameAshley game stop is requiring masks again, and they are kicking people out who don’t comply. Eye doctor, dentist, etc, never stopped requiring it. Everywhere else I’m seeing so far has strongly worded “requests” that went up, and I ignore them, but I am definitely in the minority. This is in northwest Indiana, which actually surprises me. I guess we are still too close to Chiraq.

@DameAshley aw man, I hadn't seen that at ours yet and I was just there a couple days ago. :(I know my company started requiring masks at the office and I was like "well I keep saying I'm not going back..." then I ended up back for a lunch meeting today. Beside one half hearted mention from the security guard I didn't get any other gruff, at least today :|
