@ninniearts I can make some recs, but It might be worth waiting just a few more months while good graphics cards are still way overpriced (but gradually coming back down now).

@totesagog !! i'd appreciate it a lot! :blobaww: I did google something and got like a basic idea, but I still don't know really what to go for. <_<and yeah, it's more or less a future investment. I was thinking to maybe wait til closer to december anyway before buying one! :0c

@ninniearts Cool! I'll split into a couple of posts & try just to give the basic pointers you need to shop.Obviously, two main considerations:1. How much do you want to spend?2. What games do you want to play?

@totesagog I was thinking 1000-2500 in euro. It should be pretty decent-ish in range I think. :blobtilt: for now i do mainly Genshin Impact, but I might do more, such as multiplayer games with friends. :0 I'd mostly use it for drawing, so it should be able to run art/video editing programs. (and maybe i'll do some PS4 gaming too, so maybe something along those lines as well, but that probably needs some extensions/addons?? what they called... )

@ninniearts On point 1 - for a new boxed gaming PC you can go as low as about $620 and as high as $1500. The best bang for your buck will typically be around $1000. I recommend spending on one with a decent processor. - an I5 10th or 11th gen, or a Ryzen 5 3600 - these should go the distance.Graphics cards can usually be easily swapped out. A cheaper nvidia 1660 will still play most of the latest games fine. A 3060ti would be ideal, but are selling at 2-3x normal price right now.

@ninniearts If you're willing to spend 1500+ Euro the sky is the limit. You really don't have to though unless you want to be able to play big budget future games on high settings. The only other thing I'd suggest is, if you're buying pre-made, get a PC with a more generic case, as they're usually easier to upgrade if you want. Dell/Alienware PCs for example have fancy special cases but can be a pain to do anything with (eg. replace the graphics card, add RAM etc).

@totesagog !!! It does! it's also nice to know that I don't have to spend so much on a good PC like I initially thought :0c perks of not being a full gamer I guess haha :blobcatgiggle: thank you so much for taking your time and giving me some tips!!! ♡♡
