@fristi i don't think stuff like 'make italicized unicode emojis display as huge emojis' is part of the ActivityPub standard, so you'll only see stuff like that get implemented in Pleroma and other FEs if their respective devs like it enough.

@fristi oh. in that case, my guess is that it turns the custom Misskey-only parts of messages into somewhat readable plaintext so that when it reaches fedi instances which aren't Misskey instances, they won't get a message which they think contains broken markdown.Anyway, here's some italic bread, let's see if it converts to big bread when it reaches your instance.🍞 🍞 🍞proof of the bread being italic…
