       i prefer building stuff in like terraria and starbound more than in minecraft. i guess because the block resolution is finer and also you only have 2 dimensions and 2 layers to worry about instead of full 3D

       @chjara@is.tuxcrafting.online 2D always wins when it comes to things where you need to actively constrain the emergent complexity of what you're having the player do.  Conversely, 3D works well for things that are already so simple in terms of their possibility space that there isn't much to mess up in that respect

       @allison @chjara I feel like this is the reason that only Infinifactory of all Zachtronincs games utilizes 3D. 2D really helps to get the complexity under control.
