1.@HunDriverWidow Today when I walked into the retail company I work for once or twice a week (fun retirement hobby job) I was told by my manager that the mask mandate for employees was reinstated today by said company. I flatly refused. She begged me to reconsider, and asked if I really thought, as a part time employee, that I could make a difference with corporate. I said "It has to start with someone, and if that means me, it means me." She was very upset, because my non-compliance.....

Again, she begged me to reconsider, because they really need me right now. I re-read the mandate as written, and it said that employees have to wear a mask on their face at all times. My compromise was to put on the face mask and leave it under my chin. Nothin in the mandate said...

3. @HunDriverWidow.... that I had to cover my mouth and nose. I refused put my signature on the mandate. I told her that I would wear it under my chin or I would walk. She let me do it. No customers wore masks and no one objected to my non-usage. Most of the time, her nose was not covered either. She would never have worn it under her nose (and could therefore breathe) if I had not 1st taken a stand. There are cameras in the store. If Sr management has a problem, they can call me.

@wziminer @HunDriverWidow Good for you!! Cuomo said today, Employers can mandate employees to get vaccinated. Public health workers included. He will be working with the unions. Someone asked what about schools he said depending on the level it may come downtown the employer of the teachers.In regard to kids he said if the numbers go up something dramatic will have to be done.I was out and about today and so many people masked up again.

@wziminer Oh but you do too. Im waiting for my workplace to make vaccinated people mask up. If they dont enforce the new cdc guidelines on them how can they enforce it on the unvaccinated? They said they follow the cdc guidelines. I heard on talk radio on my way to work today that the supreme court ruled that comppanies can force vaccinations on their employees.
