Our son, who’s burning out more & more each day, is telling us that serious COVID cases are coming to his So Florida ER all day. His hospital’s ICU is full and ICUs from Miami to Tampa are also full. Very sick people are spending ~ 48 hours in the ER.Most have NOT been vaccinated but some have been, mainly with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.They’re moving to CT in ~ 2 months. I can’t wait for him to get out of there. COVID numbers here are still low.

@rarity My wife's cousin, in his 30s, two young children, has been circling the drain in ICU in Miami for a week. Wife is flying over today.We helped raise him. Now he's touch and go.Maybe we did not do such a good job. He refused to get vaccinated. People are stupid.

@Debradelai So very sorry, Saul. 😔But it’s not because of anything you did or didn’t teach him.People ARE definitely stupid…and stubborn. The 30-y/o wife of an x-ray tech in our son’s ER, 6 months pregnant, had to undergo an emergency c-section 2 days ago. She’s in the ICU now, in the prone position struggling to breathe, and the baby is in the NICU. Of course she didn’t get the vaccine, nor did her husband.

@rarity This is so sad. People need to understand that vaccines are the answer.I've noticed that spikes seem to happen in July, then again in winter. This will pass, but people could keep this low if they would just get vaccinated.

@watch4thedrop SO terribly sad, and yes — needless.When I was pregnant — 36 years ago! — I got the worse colds of my life. Pregnant women should be considered high-risk for COVID and should be strongly encouraged to get vaccinated…IMHO.
