@mk Powerful words.Muslim women claim that they love being veiled, they are seen as mysterious and too special to be fully seen. Yet just the sight of someone’s face helps humanize them; veils shield from the knowledge that the being is a person. It makes cruelty and violence easier to commit. How could feeling special and on a pedestal come before treating women as human beings?
