       @timr not sure when the pot lucks will ever return. I hope sooner than later. The restaurants are really having a tough time around here. They have to close at 6 pm so the few steak houses can have cooks and servers. It's the far west.

       @Donjanusgjrdrm They were very common back in the day. I remember my mother making rice pudding, apple pies and pound cake in vast quantities for the potucks with neighbors.And chicken salad too. My favorite

       @Donjanusgjrdrm They would have them outdoors on summer evenings. If it was early, the kids went too. They played Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald albums. Very nice
