Or taking care of their kids when Mom finally wises up and makes a run for it. 😀 Seriously, when I worked for a store chain doing quality control, I was in my late 40's and I had men in their 50's to 80's trying to chat me up all the time. Their big compliment was along the lines of "every time I come in here, I see other people standing around doing nothing but you are working like crazy, going up and down ladders, driving the forklift, rotating stock, etc."We were always friendly with customers so I would then get the are you married question. Eventually, what I learned after dealing with a few dozen of these guys was this --- they were divorced or never married. They were hitting the growing-old-is-not-for-sissies ages and they wanted a clean sober hard-working woman to take care of them. Yeah, they value our unpaid or underpaid WORK, they just don't value US.

I've also been rewatching The X-Files on Comet. There are some cool ota channels now that everything is digital.
