Hey Fediverse, I have a technical question on #emacs.. When launching my linux without desktop, aka staying on a vconsole, when I start #emacs, keyboard input is... wrong. For example, when using the cursor-keys, I only get capital letters (A, B) instead of cursor-movement. Can anyone point me to a resource on how to fix that? Boosts appreciated 🤙

@woozong this has something to do with emacs not recognizing the console you are using. ex. some consoles actually send Ctrl-H codes when you press backspace.

@woozong Keyboard locale? Emacs' language environment? No idea really, I usually use Emacs with a GUI.Though you could probably still move around the buffer with C-f, C-b etc.

@woozong You might want to configure key mapping for the virtual console :)https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Linux_console/Keyboard_configuration
