You know, SSH is probably my most used tool. I rely on it so hard for everything from reading my mail and watching shows to writing documents and working on servers.

@amolith well ideally you would only allow ssh from specific endpoints. And it might be be that important for ssh but there are other things that it's quite important for.

@amolith @mizuki assuming I understand how wireguard is setup, you shouldn't need to use the Finland server as an ssh jumphost. Should be able to directly access other hosts on that same wireguard network.

@amolith @manton see~ And this is where you're wrong. You would use wireguard and avoid using ssh at all because it's slow af. Depending on your requirements you could use nfs or smb or anything like that for accessing it instead of mounting it using something like sshfs.

@mizuki yes, wireguard is easy. i was streaming some of @manton's music from his PC yesterday because of it :meowgiggle2: i'm saying nfs and smb can be a pain, especially when i've never really dug that far into them before. sshfs is simple and works perfectly fine for me (with the finland jumphost cut out) so why would i bother with something else? :blobcatgooglyshrug:
