I have a dream of buying a 5000 troy ounce COMEX silver bar and melting it to kiwi coins myself in my log cabin in Montana.It's HARD to find a furnace that can melt 155kg though. Most hobbyist furnaces top out at like 5kg.

Update: I have determined that COMEX contracts are actually 5 x 1000 troy ounce bars, which are only 31.1kg each. This bodes well for the dream.

@joshIf you enjoy these kinds of projects, you should look into making ammunition. Silver coins are great to have, but sometimes the most useful metal objects are the ones that come from a barrel.
