@Beemer4Trump That's so funny... seconds before you tooted this, Mr Wzi, who has been playing patriotic music outside for the last hour, walked by me and said "No, I'm NOT playing any Springsteen music today." It has always been our tradition to grill and play loud Patriotic songs on the 4th of July. Great minds. @Cdubois

@Beemer4Trump @Cdubois He used to play at the clubs in Asbury Park down by the Jersey shore. He would just show up and play, to the thrill of his fans. I never saw him in person, though... I was way too busy in school for so many years to go to a rock concert.

@Beemer4Trump His music "got" blue-collar NJ. I loved the "Born to Run" album. It didn't describe my life, but it did describe the life of people I knew and could understand. @Cdubois

@wziminer @Beemer4Trump @Cdubois My husband and I were never fans and we went to those clubs. Bruce used to play at my husband's high school (Christian Bros.) at his career start. All the kids went to see Clarence. The melancholy wail of the sax was a metaphor for the cold gray weather of the Shore. I hated Bruce's voice, never liked his politics. Irony is that his voice has improved. Love the Western Stars album. His politics are still trash.
