@snowdusk your government is much more coherent than ours. Our PM thinks the key to being a leader is to make paper-thin announcements and then things will just magically happen - I think he is a bit like Trump in that smoke comes out of his earsis any plan is more than a page long (in big type with bullet points, preferably with pictures)

@snowdusk indeed. A bit of a misleading name, but is what it is due to historical shifts. Greens (naturally) socialist left, Labor is Centre left, National is a bit more right (they hold a coalition with Liberal) and One Nation is kinda very Aussie MAGA.

@tbn97 wow thanks for intro to aussie politics! Very interesting. Meanwhile the trend here in Canada is that the parties have been shifting to the left little by little.. even the conservatives. The only true right wing party here now is Maxime Bernier’s People’s Party ☝️

@snowdusk that is comforting when I daydream of escaping to Canada 😜 Not so bad here, but our present federal leadership is dominated by a self absorbed, image-obsessed airbag.
