@SLAG @macoman4u1 For me it's the one element that would have removed 99% of the controversy.And she MIGHT well have complied, given that it wasn't the passive Willy Wonka "stop. don't. come back." treatment they were getting up to that point.

@StevenDouglas There is so much about that event that doesn’t make much sense, so it seems natural for people to question the death of someone with her background. Not to mention her husband wasn’t getting much information about what actually took place. @SLAG @macoman4u1

@StevenDouglas Maybe slag would think differently, but what with the glass breaking and entry attempted while wearing a backpack, the officer is duty bound to react with lethal force in the imminent presence of death or serious bodily injury. It’s beyond “warning” at THAT point.@SLAG

The problem I still have with that is all the broken glass and successful breaches leading up to that point.That same lethal force was authorized from the point of first breach, given that both houses were in joint session at the time.They were damned by a false sense of security given faint defenses.Ashli's shooting was justified. Clear warnings and strong defenses up front were infinitely more justified.Tired of DELIBERATELY leaky borders, weak boundaries.

But first you have to get past the issue of "She touched fire and, rightfully and naturally, got burned."Now that that's out of the way, when I sit ever-so-quietly and patiently in a duck blind - without making a sound - it's not because I want the ducks to go away. It's because I want them to come closer so that I can shoot them.If I wanted them to go away I'd make lots of warning noises and threatening displays. Which never happened.
