       We recently finished Fahrenheit 451.The story is about a world where people willfully stop reading books out of an addiction to pleasure, and are so engrossed by entertainment that they become ignorant and completely oblivious to the world outside.There's a moment in the book in which the cities is nuked and the citizen spend their last minutes watching themselves getting bombed on live TV.I know I'm probably projecting but, was it really about climate change the whole time?#theLibrary

       @neauoire climate change, when described as a major problem that we need to stop using oil / coal for energy to save the world, is a scam. It is really just a method to put more control over the world and to extract more money from the masses. Look at the history of CO2 concentrations. We are currently at levels near the bottom of the scale, just above the level where plants start to die. CO2 IS PLANT FOOD! NOT POLLUTION!

       @neauoire No, it was about nuclear war, but human nature has not changed.Although it is useful to point out more of our entertainment is knowledge based than ever before. Plenty of people are aware of the terrible things that are going on, but I think the instinct to "entertain" ourselves remains.Instead of watching entertainment, though, we entertain each other by posting.

       @neauoire I don't fault people for it, for the most part. Many people don't even know how to stay afloat or change what keeps them afloat much less address problems caused by people they've never me

       @neauoire I think my school curriculum stopped our reading of Farenheit 451 just short of the attack on the city. 🤯 This is the first I've heard of it! The irony is not lost on me!
