@Sterence does it charge if you just plug a USB-C straight in to the switch

@icedquinn idk it's charging but it just doesn't power on right away which is kind of annoying because I'm very impatient (only this reason)

@Sterence I have a similar issue, but it's never failed to power on immediately upon pressing home on [INSERT PREFERRED WIRELESS CONTROLLER]. Have to press the Switch's power button to use my Taiko or Fightstick, though they're both wired.

@mistermagus I just see it telling me the battery is dead and it makes me sad it isn't like other devices where I can plug them in when they're dead and they turn on immediately but Nintendo ruined my life

@Sterence I've plugged my switch in with a dead battery and been able to play immediately. Though my switch has lived exclusively on the dock for almost two years now, so idk if firmware updates changed that.

@mistermagus Mines usually plugged in but rarely it isn't for reasons and then I gotta wait a bit, idk if they revised it but mine is like 4 years old

@Sterence Same. I bought mine... Immediately after the Mario Odyssey demo was out. I've just lucked out and dodged every major problem. Even got to chuckle as a friend has gone through 4 left joycons due to drift.

@mistermagus my joycons don't have the drift I think but I also just use a pro controller all the time because it's a very nice controller

@Sterence The pro controller is great. I even use it on PC when I'm playing anything controller-oriented. I'm also one of those weird fucks that likes the Wii U pro controller.
