Among the many reasons I don't want to spend a significant amount of time visiting my mother where she lives is her habit of closing all the windows and turning the heat to full blast in the middle of July.

@Verdigris That is a good question! She lives near lake Michigan. And further north than I do. So it's cool-er? But not by that much.
