       @kzimmermannInterestingly, Carissa mentions in the introduction that if you read it on a Kindle, Nook or others, you have already given up privacy.. but equally so if you bought the paper version online with your debit/credit card.

       @woozong that's true, especially if the online store is also Amazon or Barnes and Noble :PInterestingly, I feel that if you cut off the Kindle from the world (i.e. leave it always in Airplane mode, never teach it any passwords) and just use a USB-based solution like #calibre to load ebooks to it, it's actually pretty usable.
