@GNUxeava What's Konqueror like to use? I use KDE a lot, would make sense to stick with something that comes with it instead of setting another browser up all the time.

@Bunnyhammer it is all nice and smooth. Gitea, Code Server and Pleroma work nicely. Haven't tested streaming yet but it should be fine. Modern web has its roots in KHTML after all.

@GNUxeava Might have to look into this further then. Don't get me wrong, I do like Librewolf, but keeping everything up to date in one place then splitting out is far easier to manage. :ablobcatrave:

@coyote @GNUxeava yup, it uses just the rendering engine. else it wouldn’t be able to work as a kio slave (it can do file browsing, samba, vnc and more. next to http)

@GNUxeava By any chance, have you managed to configure the ad blocking on Konqueror? I know you can do it manually, but there is an option for automatic but for the life of me I can't get it to work or show anything.Looking online sucks as well since it seems to tell you nothing about it or completely outdated.

@GNUxeava Ah, glad it's not just me then. I tried manual with a copy from easy list and I thought my laptop might set itself on fire, crashed konqueror. I'll see if I can find something about it.

@mur2501 @GNUxeava Sounds about right. Shame that. I wonder if that means Konqueror's development will be halted or merged with something else.

@GNUxeava @mur2501 Which is based on webkit, which in of itself is based on khtml apparently. So it looks like it is not being developed anymore. This is why KDE have moved to Falkon Browser, which is chrome based. However, that doesn't seem to get much love to it from what I'm looking at as well sadly. X_X

@GNUxeava @mur2501 You're right Mur, it has been stopped and by the looks of things removed entirely on the next large update.Falkon is here: https://www.falkon.org/ but as you will see, nothing since a couple of years ago.

@mur2501 @GNUxeava I remember using Vivaldi when it first came out. I didn't mind it, but wasn't overly keen, so stuck with Firefox. Then moved to Librewolf for Linux but use Brave on Windows. However, I am looking at Librewolf for Windows at the moment, less Chrome, the better.
