@Another_Stag It is an artificial war. One side is being inundated with disinformation and the other is trying to debunk said fake information. It is really cringe that we've picked up the anti-vax platform. it's not just a matter of personal choice when people are posting woefully fallacious and false articles and spreading it throughout the platform. I don't see any problem with debunking these things.

@Another_Stag No, it does not help. I go out of my way to not throw any personal attacks during debates about the topic. I also ignore when the people i'm debating inevitably starts calling me names and continue to stay on the topic.Every once in a while I may lose my cool. but you can probably count on one hand the instances DROP started with the ad hominems.

@Another_Stag I disagree. As someone who was once virulently anti-2A, an argument with a random youtuber in 2008 turned me in to a 2A fanatic. Didn't happen right away of course but it definitely helped open my eyes and made me do some research in to the argument. Not every exchange is hopeless. Otherwise why is anybody even here?

@Another_Stag So I posted an anti-gun video where I dressed as a redneck hillbilly and shat on the NRA and gun lovers. Was instantly flooded with hate comments from the right including this dude. I explained my side that my friend was just killed by some maniac with a gun so i think there should be restrictions. and he ended up explaining his side. Went back and forth for a bit through email. started off lobbing bombs at each other ended sorta civilly.

He posts about the topic itself.Posters volunteer their own vax status on their own - quite often. They then generally go on to discuss and/or defend their status. It isn't surprising that this personalizes the threadI understand your point about the intensity and controversy. But Drop is not responsible for the decision of individual posters to volunteer their vax status

@Another_Stag @watch4thedropI only addressed one point - volunteering vax status. That is all. Drop does not ask about that. That is the personal responsibility of each poster. I did not defend anyone using insults on either side, and certainly would not. That is another, but related, topic.
