@coyote no the browser itself. I didn't notice that the option to turn it off has been removed because Gentoo turns it off with organization settings file if you look into the ebuild and I wonder if the binary one does the same. I imagine other distros will follow / already did but that's the only way to stop it from trying to update and failing because it can't write to wherever it's installed as far as I know

@xykreinov @nosleep @vaartis I like pale moon, but the way it works is easier for fingerprinting, to fight fingerprinting and tracking, I think you still need to go into about:config, unfortunately. A user.js does a good job, but I further configure things myself. Those options have never and will never be in the normal settings, there are too many.

@coyote @nosleep @vaartis yeah, fair. Might as well just configure Pale Moon for it over Firefox what with all the greatness XUL extensions offer. There's a lot of old XUL extensions that offer great spoofing features, besides the cool ones like tree tabs
