My suggestion to anyone pissed off about the GPU shortage is that if you have an older GPU that can run games at low-medium settings at 1080 you're fine, you don't actually need more. If you don't have that, you're also fine, because you don't need to play AAA video games all day, just play whatever runs on your integrated graphics. If I went back in time and showed my young self all the amazing games that run on low end hardware now, and all the emulation possibilities to play old titles, I would have been amazed. You can do tons of stuff with a used laptop that costs a few hundred dollars. Stop complaining.

@TheInsanePenguin @koffing same here I have a 1050ti but the the most intensive game it's seen is Runeterra, and for the Touhou it usually used for it's overkill

@koffing All triple-A games are basically dogshit and unoptimized as fuck, let alone even properly compressed. I think the last CoD game took up like 100GB of space it’s retarded. If you have a midrange budget card and a usable CPU you are perfectly fine and have access to more good games than any console ever had.

@koffing my two year old laptop that I originally bought for work purposes works just fine for gaming with its integrated graphics + 8gb ram + quad core AMD processor. Dont really feel the need to upgrade, only problem I really had with it was limited storage (256 gb SSD) but I alleviated that with a 1 TB external SSD. I usually play War Thunder, a game made to run on East European computers so my shit is perfectly fine for that game

@koffing emulation is true gaming. We can now go back in time to play the games we always wanted to play, and good ones at that, for free. I got a shitty laptop that struggles to run starfy ds but hey, i can do it still. Gaming has reach a microtransaction, political and low effort shithole that it will never recover from, so lets just enjoy the games made before then
