       disable rich media previewshow?admin panel:Metadata -> Rich Media -> Enabled -> set to offconfig.exs:config :pleroma, :rich_media, enabled: falseWhy?pleroma tends to bug out when trying to generate rich media link previews sometimes, resulting in it bombarding the website with requests (it's a HEAD -> GET loop)on average it ends up doing it every 10 minutes or so, but it can go up and down in frequency, and not just based on the post being viewedit only takes a few servers doing something like this to create a serious spam problemconversely, it only takes a few links like that to end up with you sending out a lot of requests (slowing down your outgoing traffic that you actually care about)

       @toast fyi you shouldn't edit config.exs but prod.secret.exs or dev.secret.exs

       @toast just saying so ppl don't edit config.exs on source and run themselves into potential merge conflicts when updating BE

       @volpeon hmm, you might have to change it in config.exs thenmight be some weird migration fail or an incompat thing cuz you're on an older version (2.2 instead of 2.3)you still get rich media previews when you make links, right?

       @matthew it doesn't show up in the info logsyou basically need to watch the debug log very carefully (HAHAHAHAH GOOD LUCK) or be on the RECEIVING end of the spam to notice itone way is if you're logging outgoing request rates, but that's also not that useful, right?chances are, if you've posted links to external websites, you have experienced this bug(I suspect it happens primarily with links that don't have explicit rich media setup, but I'd rather just disable and move on than spend a bunch of time trying to verify)

       @matthew I'm not sure it is - this seems to be relating to mediaproxy (?) and affects primarily websites *with* rich media configall this is telling me is "rich media is a gigantic mess in-code and having it enabled is a bad idea"
