(u.s. specific bc i am not knowledgeable about laws elsewhere about this)if you are a woman (or perceived as such), and a potential employer asks you if you have children during a job interview, it is illegal under laws prohibiting sex discrimination in employment. if an interviewer asks you this, and you are offered the job, be very wary of the employer being willing to break other nondiscrimination laws if you accept the offer.

correction: i think it's illegal to ask anyone "do you have children" during a job interview but this happens much more frequently to women (including trans women) and to ppl perceived as women than to cis men
