       @LostInCalifornia  I hate men for the way they set up these lose-lose binds for women. It's so true: fail to meet the beauty standard and they point and shame you, try to keep up to the beauty standard they set and they despise you. Refuse to have sex with them, you're a frigid bitch. Agree to have sex with them and you're slutty. Be kind! Not all men are like that! It's your own fault you were attacked! You should know what men are like. Go out to work and have independence: you're a career bitch/neglectful motherStay at home/mind the kids: you're a parasite. The key pattern seems to be: If you're not under their control they hate you for it. If you are under their control they disrespect you for it. It is a sociopathic mindset, to despise someone for their weakness when they do what you want.

       @Spring @LostInCalifornia It's so sad to think how much of women's time is spent or has been spent trying to match these contradictory expectations, and how damaging all of that must be to our senses of self, freedom of expression, trust in our instincts and intuitions, etc.
