Forum membership there was about 2,000, with around a hundred or so daily posters, mostly early thirties to middle-aged. Most VERY left of center.My handle: Grypho, which is how they knew me for years and what they still call me in private to this day.Their site's been defunct for years and their forum is now a private group on Facebook - which I won't name.

I fought tooth and nail with all of them without compromise, and befriended every one of them in the process. Except for one. Michael, the dominant, domineering leftist alpha-bully of the forum, HATED ME. Loathed my presence with every fiber of his being. Showed his contempt for me at every opportunity and did everything in his power to CANCEL ME.When others defended me, Michael was apoplectic.

They were on a "Simple Machines" forum, which I was very familiar with. I helped them add many new features, graphics and interface improvements, and was able to fix many problems as they arose.Within a year I was made a permanent admin. Full control over the entire site, which I kept clean, secure and regularly backed up.How's that for trust.I was with them the entire time I was in China, and continuously shared my exploits with them.

Yet, there has never been even a whisper of anyone's political views. It doesn't matter, never has.We are together everyday working hard to provide care to a difficult population. @StevenDouglas Agreed. On the phone with a friend who has a place in Cape Cod. Told me that many of the restaurants are still not open because of lack of workforce. He the procedes to tell me that it's because of lack of immigrant workforce that trump banned! Could have addressed it, but let it go. Can't change stupid indoctrination. Moved on to something positive. Grabbed a suffering neighborhood kid and we together are digging and planting a garden for older neighbor today.

@StevenDouglas I’d say among my friends it’s 50/50 Dem/Republican. My two dearest friends from way back Junior High (I’m 59) are actually Biden voters. Sure we talked politics when we had our mini-reunion....but we would never let it ruin our friendship. The same goes for my other friends.
