Hi, I want to abandon Dropbox, Google Drive and the other cloud storage services managed by multinationals and I want to store my data only on my private hard drive using Nextcloud. But I also want to build a disaster recovery, having an always updated copy of all my data at the home of a relative who lives 300 km away from me, and he would do the same with me. They told me there should be a Nextcloud add-on built specifically for this, but I can't find it. Can someone help me?

@mike67it If I wanted to do what you've posited I would keep a hard drive at my house, open a port on my nat box (router) and then setup whatever I wanted. SSH, SFTP, whatever. Or I would setup a VPN then allow Netbios. Probably not what you would do but I just wanted to throw it out there. It's like with Gold......if you don't hold it, you aren't holding it.

@mike67it I haven't used this service personally but some people have recommended it as an alternative to Google Drive and Dropbox: https://www.storj.io/ - there are probably more detailed comparisons around. Does that help?

@mike67it would probably be easier to just host both your accounts on the same server at your house and have it backed up to the server at your friends.
