1. It's complicated. Most Jews in this country live on the East Coast in the NY-tri-state area and California as well as Chicago and South Florida. When we came to this country, especially before and after WW2, it was the Democrats and the Socialists who helped us settle in. Because we're Jews, we worked out tails off to become successful and contribute to the American Dream, but became Demos b/c of the help we got in the beginning. 2. We settled in these places because we weren't exactly welcome everywhere else. These areas are Democratic strongholds and we were never exposed to Republican opinions because there wasn't any. I did not realize how profoundly I was brainwashed, even after living in Texas for 20 years until Trump came down that escalator. 6. I found Thomas Wictor and others and started really delving into Rep vs Dem. Needless to say, turns out that my values align more with Reps than Dems, because I am a "classic liberal" a la Dave Rubin. I listened to him, learned from him, and whiny Ben Shapiro and Jordan Peterson, and switched my party. I voted for Trump in 2016 and never looked back. I am MAGA all the way. 7. One more thing. There are very few Jewish religious denominations, unlike Christianity which has hundreds. The big three are Orthodox, where the services are all in Hebrew and is the most religious, with various different ultra orthodox and modern orthodox groups, Conservative, where the services are mostly in Hebrew and are more liberal in their politics, and Reform, which has barely any Hebrew in their services and are politically regressive.
