@Ricardus I voted red as it's the best on that listbut there are so many devices these days with tasteful dim white LED indicators, that's my true favorite

@proto I like white too, but it's basically a light bulb. plus my instance only allows 4 choices.

@msh I like blue because they took so long to develop, and they're so expensive.

@Ricardus I would have picked "amber" if it had been a choice, but it wasn't, so I picked "yellow". The yellow-green of Trimline dial lights is interesting as well.

@Ricardus blue was the most notable technical achievement I agree. It just seems to me wherever they show up they are driven to retina-burning intensity levels. Probably because the designers wanted to show off the technical achievement.

@msh I'll be using 4 blue LEDs in an upcoming preamp build. Indicators on the power rails.

@Ricardus Green… but the old soft yellowish Gallium Phosphide (GaP) green, not the new bright, piercing, bluish Gallium Nitride (GaN) green.

@RicardusYou would think so, but actually is does not matter. Yellow is a mix of red and green, so anything but blue looks more or less the same to me. And as cool as the blue diode was when it was marketed I just think we have seen enough cheap Alibaba crap with blue light by now :ageblobcat:
