In this rambly and bad video I finally share some more impressions with the Librem 5 and the next release of PureOS, which is based on Debian 11 “Bullseye” and has the name “Byzantium”.I also go into a massive tangent about AppStream metadata and custom Purism additions that define form factors an app support, which I believe should be more widely adapted.Note that Byzantium is not meant for end-users yet and thus all imperfections that you can see may well be fixed before its release. The part about Megapixels and the camera is to be taken with massive grains of salt, I just compiled the app from repositories at source.puri.sm without knowing too well what I am doing nor asking for help.Links: PureOS images: https://arm01.puri.sm/job/Images/job/Image%20Build/Flashing: https://developer.puri.sm/Librem5/Development_Environment/Boards/HowTo/Flashing_eMMC.htmlSpecify Form-Factors in Your Librem 5 Apps: https://puri.sm/posts/specify-form-factors-in-your-librem-5-apps/getappid.sh https://linmob.net/pinephone-setup-scaling-in-phosh/Purism Stream (YouTube client): https://source.puri.sm/todd/StreamMake sure to check out my blog (https://linmob.net) and the App List (https://linmobapps.frama.io)!Disclosure: I am a co-host on the bi-weekly PineTalk Podcast (https://www.pine64.org/pinetalk), a PINE64 community podcast. Is the GPS pure sattelite only, in which case how did it get a lock inside, or does it do an Android/iOS like mixing of Wifi/Bluetooth to get coarse location?
