@alex Income tax becomes social engineering poorly mixed with revenue, with loop holes for the rich. What did Jeffery Epstein claim to do to earn his money? Consult on tax loopholes. Why is a loophole consultant paling around with politicians? Remove the source of evil and corruption, flat tax.

@alex I was joking, but it is pretty much the case for progress tax, the tax rate increases with taxable income. It aims for wealth redistribution, but the poor benefits less than the middle class because the latter has more votes that the politicians want to apperal.

@alex @PCH_XYZ Yes. They will garnish wages, seize assets (including your home), and when all else fails, send you to jail. Yes, jail time is a relatively uncommon consequence, but that’s only because they want the money and it’s difficult to take your paycheck if you don’t have one.That doesn’t necessarily answer your question about whether taxes are a scam, but they are certainly not a scam without a stick to back them up, if that’s the implication.
