Just a week ago, the Biden administration through EPA administrator Michael Regan rolled back another Trump-era rule on clean air regulations, as part of a rollback of more than 100 Trump-era environmental regulations that favored fossil fuels. The Trump administration rule made it harder to enact any clean air standards whatsoever against fossil fuel polluters.Who we elect into public office affects everything right down to our personal health. Make sure you put the right people there. :voteblue: #WednesdayWisdom Air Pollution Takes a Toll on the Brain: https://nyti.ms/3uVlMIn

@TonyStark Breathing clean air seems like something we should all agree on.

@Drax @TonyStark Decades ago I overheard an acquaintance, whom I'll call A, say something about how they'd recently had to cut out smoking because of a cold. My then-friend B told A that they should smoke menthols when they were sick because "it's recommended." Everyone laughed, thinking it was a joke, but B was serious. Who recommended it? B claimed that this information came from old-time doctors. It's no coincidence that B smoked more than a pack a day, and they were just looking for an excuse to keep smoking when they were sick. That was when I knew B was an idiot and I gradually cut them out of my life for that and other reasons.I used to think highly of B because they were well-read and talented at many creative pursuits. They were one of my earliest examples of how even someone who seemed smart can fall for misinformation that aligns with what they want to hear.B later went on to study at a notorious religious college, and I haven't seen them in about 10 years.
