At what point to we hold people accountable for their own actions, when it's blatantly obvious that they've been swindled, tricked, and groomed? Sure, the ones that were applying pressure are at fault and need to be rounded up and put in camps (except not labor/internment camps this time), but at what point do we say "No, stop being an idiot letting yourself be manipulated"? I'm willing to be more forgiving to children about it, because they're not expected to know better (and they shouldn't have to), but when you're an adult going out having degenerate sex and later regretting it, you don't get to excuse your decisions by saying that you were "raped". And then there's the whole notion of permanent damage being done and how you're supposed to treat someone that has taken that, but that's perhaps better saved for another discussion.

One might think people would see how the hysteria at the time was then pushed into colleges, which themselves became seen as veritable rape factories, and that by using same techniques of false memory production, recasting old memories in light of "blame" and agency (except to the individual with the mental issues) and treating accused as presumed guilty that it might undermine this need to find validate old mass delusions, often perpetrated by "psychologists" and "counselors" who used it to grow their prestige (for a time) and income.
