@sub_aetha I can’t remember the exact question, but Levine completely dodged Rand Paul’s questions about children and trans treatments. To the point that Paul asked it to be marked in the records that Levine wouldn’t answer. That dodge and the answer he did give leads me to think that Levine either is a TRA or agrees with them (as in he brushes off legitimate concerns and won’t acknowledge them).It’s not exactly a smoking gun, but personally I think it’s still quite damning for a person in his position. @Ladyfat

They also never mention that we really don't know the long term effects of blocking puberty, because there are no studies on this.

Based on everything I've read, when a grown man pushes for invasive and experimental drugs for kids, then I am certain it's for his own personal validation. The second most important is the preservation of single sex services when women and children need them. Also, he thinks protecting women and girls' sports is a political issue, and that Republicans are to blame for it. You'd have to ignore the thousands of women (which he and all the media do) to think wanting to keep sports fair is a conservative wedge issue. Sure, the Republicans are going to use it, but we come from across the political spectrum, and we'd really prefer it if some people on the left would get their heads out of their asses and help make the laws being passed good ones. Even with estrogen therapy and androgen blockers, after 2 years males still maintain a physical advantage over women. @sub_aetha The way I see it, is that a lot of people have all sorts of wacky ideas, and some of those are wacky ideas about the people themselves. That alone is not something I care about. So that would be the “identity” part. I care about rights, freedoms and principles, as well as what is and is not true. The wacky ideas that the trans-identified people have, routinely end up violating at least one of these things. At the most fundamental level is the wacky idea that they are or should be treated as if they were members of the other sex. To the extent that they expect other people to behave accordingly, that is a violation of the freedom of opinion and speech of others. When the trans-identified extend this to saying that they should be allowed into groups and spaces reserved for the other sex, they are violating the freedom of association/assembly of people who actually are the other sex. Both of these are true, whether the trans-identified person is dysphoric or not. They are also true, whether I personally have a problem with intact or non-intact males in the spaces in which I am, or whether I personally am willing to use “preferred” pronouns about them or not. Either women (and men) have the right to free speech, and their own spaces, or they do not. That some men (or women) are suffering from severe body image issues or downright delusions, can not negate these rights, no matter how bad they may feel. @cubensis
