I was today years old when I learned ISIS has a Element/Matrix server.

Which makes one think about how much damage these tools are doing too...

@Ravenhelm CIA fronts such as ISIS are inherently harmful by themselves, privacy has nothing to do it! Unless one believes freedom equals damage, a very popular idea among "certain" circles!

@pleiades Ik ik, I'm not suggesting by any means that privacy causes harm. It's an essential right and absolutely nothing should violate it. It's just food for thought...

@Ravenhelm I see! That's actually the main argument used against privacy: less privacy (more control) means less crime! So they say. That way no average Joe can rise up, and crime gets reserved to our dear overlords' families at the top, masterful in all things shady, expert inverters of the holy symbol, saviors of the human race!

@pleiades I personally believe that we have no real power against that happening as a collective but we can keep our own selves mindful of the reality (or at least one level deeper of it) of the situation. The collective will learn slowly.

@Ravenhelm I wholeheartedly agree, that's been my personal conclusion too. Interesting times for both the individual and the collective, with a seemingly great learning potential. Apparently entry tickets must be quite expensive. A good reminder to not take this experience for granted.Nice exchange 🙂
