@ruina i think that, as far as other instances go, i've met some real cool people on the kiwifarms instance, so maybe i'll choose that one? ...I'll have to look into a few different ones before deciding! i bet i'd do good on spinster.

@amnesiac the benefit of fedi is that as long as there are idiots like me who start instances it won't really /go down/ - centralizing in a few large instances is bad overall for fedi for that reason

@lewdthewides @amnesiac @meme I wish it was practical graf could arrange for continuity of operations, but he’s the single most talented system administrator++++ I’ve ever personally interacted with at any level in my career starting in the late 1970s. It would be well-nigh impossible to replace him with talent existing on poa.st; as you pointed out, we’d probably have to retreat to smaller instances.
