@ParadeGrotesque that's horrible. Node.js started as a Behemoth and is a Moloch now. Never would I even consider, using such a monstrosity for scripting. If it's simple enough, there's #bash. If it's complicated and needs some kind of abstraction, software engineering, there's Python and Perl. And there's even C. But node.js? Seriously?

@treuss As they say: if the only tool you have is a hammer, everything starts to look like a nail.So yeah, if you only know node.js, you will be tempted to use it for eveything, including stuff that should be done with bash or awk or Perl.

@ParadeGrotesque I don't really use MIT Scheme. I'm just memeing my scheming.I never really took to Guile. I don't like the documentation, the standard libraries, or the lack of Windows binaries.Racket is cool and I've written a decent amount of stuff in it, but Racket is inferior to Common Lisp and I never got comfortable using Racket in Emacs.I've slowly been replacing what I would write in Python with Common Lisp. Lots of HTTP requests in drakma and networking in bordeaux-threads.
