@CSB its about $1 per day in sats... not going to get rich any time soon :) Can't really do anything with sats other than donate to other podcasts because fees are really high right not to convert them from lightning to bitcoin and from bitcoin to $. Like all the devs like to remind people, lightning networks is beta for now. BUT the future is being built so that someday this could be a way for someone to quit their job and be a podcaster for donations!

@Genen that's a good info, particularly as some podcasters might be mistakenly thinking that they can ALREADY NOW earn good money off bitcoin ligthning, whereby there is long way to go ANDif Apple will start offering not merely paid podcast subscriptions but also donations via in-app purchase - like it's already possible in apps - then bitcoin lightning in podcasting might never achieve critical mass

@CSB We shall see! But from my stats only about 1% of my listeners donate, and about 4% use apps that are capable of streaming sats... so if 50% used apps with sat streaming, then that $30/mo might be more like $300/mo. And it all depends of the size of donations people set. The default in many apps is 10 sats/min... which is less than half of $.01 / minute. So if that was more like $.05/min $30 may be more like $300. Combine that and $3000 would be possible from a podcast with 10,000 stream /mo

@Genen @CSB Anyone can download an app capable of streaming sats, but then you have to figure out how to load money into it. Why not charge $5 or $10 for such an app that's pre-loaded with sats?

@Sir_Thomas_of_Great_Bay @CSB ya loading sats in a chore if you don't already have a bitcoin wallet. If you thought it's pretty seamless but has fees.
