       @beebop I’ve know a couple of guys that did it very cheaply even here in Southern California where slip fees are huge. They lived on rundown sailboats the owner didn’t want to sell. The slips, for which there was a two-year waiting period even back then, were already there, and so were the boats. The sailboats simply would not run, no sails, no motor, they were leaky.They would rent the boat/slip combo which paid the owner’s fees, keep the boats looking clean and shiny, and take as many girls there from bars and clubs as they could. Everybody was happy, the owners, the renters, the girls at least ‘till they awoke in the morning.But you might mean an operational boat you actually own. 😀
