THREADBirthday card from my eldest, 35.1) "Dewy mornings on a backyard bench, wrapped tightly in a blanket, waking up to crisp air and warm sunlight."Childhood wake-ups, often nightmares for me, weren't passed on by this divorced single dad.Woke my kids, one at a time, "papoosed" head-to-toe in a blanket. Carried them down to the back porch swing, and in the cold morning air, talked to them. Softly. For five to ten minutes, slowly peeling back the blanket from their face.Onto the next.

Passed it onto all my kids, they ALL love it.

F-150, later stolen in Arizona.Tom Waits, Smashing Pumpkins, Mozart, Slim Dusty from Australia, anything with a cool and strange sound, we were all transported by it.
