       While the Mastodon and Fediverse at large still makes #AltText an after thought in UX design, Twitter is actively prompting people to add alt text to their images. I thought the Fediverse was supposed to be more inclusive.

       @alrs also, you would think this would urge the Fediverse to care a bit more but people still want accessibility to be a feature, not baked into the culture. Twitter is taking good steps here whereas the Fediverse still wants accessibility something people can ignore at will

       @weirdwriter 100%What's nice about Pleroma is that it puts the "insert an alt text" field right under the image you're about to upload, which brings it to the forefront of my attention, whereas Mastodon & Pixelfed keep the alt text option in a submenu or something, making it easy to forget.
