       How is it that old people are more susceptible to scams?Were they really brought up in a high trust society and so never got wise to it?Or has a lifetime of processed food rotted away their brain?

       @genetic_failure Mental accuity decreases linearly with age after 50 even without disease. They also have fewer social connections and will desperately trust anyone who will talk to them.

       @genetic_failure Depends on the old person. If existing was not taxing on the body, we would never die, so after a while its just not worth fighting every battle.I know some old salty bitches that died not spending a dime on their own comfort, even though they were three horror movie jump scares away from a free  flower arrangement.

       @DIMT @genetic_failure With overwhelming surveillance and social media we might actually grow old in a period of high provable trust, but be optimized for low trust scum fuckery of early web. Add in roasties, a.i caretakers and trannies, the old folks home is gonna be fucking mess.
