All I have to do is provide stable growing space and shield them from demon salvos while we right the world that they will inherit. @StevenDouglas @MMA If you can't take time to make cake donuts, you can use Steven's glaze recipe with my ghetto donuts:*Two large tubes of Pilsbury biscuits*CriscoBreak open the biscuit tubes with a spoon, separate all the biscuits, poke a hole in their centers.Heat Crisco in a deep saucepan. Once it's medium hot (not TOO hot or the dough will burn), drop 4 to 6 biscuits in at a time. Flip after a few seconds to brown on both sides. Remove with slotted spoon. Drain. Glaze. Repeat.

Hot donuts were one of the things we could order. The frosting was simple: powdered sugar and add just enough half and half to turn it into a thick glaze to dip the donuts into. They have to be eaten warm! If you don’t have a Krispy Kreme near you, it’s the next best thing to HOT DONUTS NOW!!

Btw, In the 90s I worked at a local but popular New Orleans style restaurant. Their “ beignets “ were really fried biscuits, dipped in powered sugar.

@wziminer Of all my five children Bella is THE most unique. She'll sing the same song a million times but never repeats the same joke or whatever she did that was interesting or funny. She hits us with something different and WAY out of the blue every single day. We wake up wondering what it will be that day, and end up talking about it that night.And good luck getting her to repeat it. I was a lot like that when I was little. Whatever was funny was funny once. Onto new material.
