       @openscience I find that journal articles are written in a style that should be embarrassing to anyone who wants to advance science.Even within my specialization, the language is so intentionally obtuse that sometimes you'll be three quarters through an article and suddenly realize they're explaining something really basic in a really complicated way.Sometimes complicated subjects require complicated language to explain, but that's not how these are written. They're written specifically to be complicated first. No wonder there's a crisis in science.
