@vincent this time around, GNOME is making all exceptions explicitly support 40, or else they don’t run :blobcatthink: oh well, a port is in the works and I think it will arrive soon

@xerz Is this from gnome-unstable or are my mirrors just not updated yet? 😅

@xerz Ah, yeah, it was just my outdated mirrors. Reflector to the rescue! Now I'm rockin' 40.

this issue does not happen with the nightly GNOME Todo Flatpak, so maybe it’s an Arch-specific issue

@xerz it's strange, I've used a bunch of different GUIs over the years from absolutely quirky to predictably boring and I've never been so irritated by a UI as much as the decision to move the menubar into buttons on a thick title bar. Tho I think the idea to compress the menubar into a mobile style hamburger button on everything does comes close

@polychrome Well, I see it as a space saving with easier to click buttons, windows that are just as easy to drag and a slick UI that is starting to work out on phones and tablets too. Maybe being an early adopter of the iPad made me more tolerant to big sized items?

@xerz hmm... I noticed some different font-rendering issues while using the Authenticator GTK4 app a bit ago (I'm assuming it was including its own build of the toolkit at the time)here's what it looked like:
