Now that FOSS is "cool", many companies profit from "supporting" these projects and being "open".I was looking into Jitsi-meet GitHub repo and I found that you have to sign a Contributor License Agreement in order to contribute to this "open-source" project.https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.mdEven more disgusting, they write within the first paragraph of that agreement: "This license is for Your protection as a Contributor" ... Well, "thanks" (but no thanks).

@jalvarez that's not a big deal. It's to make sure 8x8 would be able to publish the project as the owner and be able to change the licence when it wants. For example, if you contribute to a project licensed under GPLv2 and don't give your copyright of code to the maintainer, the maintainer won't be able to publish it under GPLv3 later. It's a normal/usual thing.

@arh @jalvarez That could be like a double edge sword. As I know the Proprietary of the code can change the license to a proprietary one even if it's GPL only if the person has the copyright. If I am wrong just tell me but I guess there has been projects like I mention who has done.
