@justcallmesparkly It world work the same way except since her immune system is suppressed, the time frame may be off. There's been cases where doctors have suggested to extend the period between the 1st and 2nd dose. I would confer with her MD to be sure but the mechanism would still be the same.

So to use the number of reports as some sort of metric is absurd. @watch4thedrop I feel fortunate that I had this part about the vaccine explained to me by a doctor very early on in the vaccine trials. I found it fascinating and so cool, from a medical standpoint. @tonnepress Sounds like an extremely rare version of "Stevens-Johnson Syndrome" called toxic epidermal necrolysis. It is a dermatologic emergency and usually happens as a reaction to medications. It can happen from taking TYLENOL. There are usually underlying causes, including a genetic component. I am willing to bet this person has a predisposition to SJS.

I am very aware of the entire fiasco. I think your anger is misplaced. Please don't take it out on Drop, who risked his life in NYC working with the public every day while the medical establishment was trying to figure out the virus. He has been a font of great information regarding the vaccine and other pharmaceutical questions. I think you misunderstand what Drop is trying to say. @watch4thedrop @tonnepress I read the link, but the Covid vaccine seems to be missing from the list of covered vaccines. It says to be eligible, a vaccine has to be widely used across the population of children and pregnant women. Until the FDA approves the vaccine for these groups, any Covid vaccine wouldn't be included in the compensation for injury list, would it?
