@rasterman Smash Bros. pretty much includes all the biggest franchises on the planet, including Mario, and has WAY more content and effort put into it than the Mario Kart franchise, yet Mario Kart consistently outsells Smash. Why? Because it's less skill-based.Then there's Pokemon Sword/Shield selling 10 times as much as Xenoblade 2.And New Super Mario Bros. IU easily outselling Mario Maker 2.Yeah, democracy is pretty shit.

@ChristiJunior God no. Aristocrats would be like Roman patricians. A superior caste that gets to make decisions and keeps its rule through heredity. The game journalists would at least require to show competence at gaming to... Actually, scratch that: game journalists by definition would not be a part of the aristocracy. Maybe slaves you beat to death during the ludic festivities in honour of Jupiter.Although you might end up with a king Sakurai getting advice from a council of wise elders consisting almost entirely of Melee pros. :thinking:
