@apocu I didn't come to Turkey specifically. I was in Israel, which is *kind of* nearby! I'm sorry to hear that it's so awful there. I wish I could do something...maybe spreading information about it? I had been talking about ways to get around censorship in your country specifically!@stux

@calculsoberic @stux thank's for your wish. If making propaganda in social media grow up for us and for our revolutioner and activist, (many of them in prison) it will better. For example twitter is bad now and it will being hard in future. Mastodon look like good place for this. But now we dont have many people here. I think people can read about ANF, Rojava or Abdullah Ocalan and making propaganda and hashtag working. Ideology like anarcho socialism, social ecology, feminism for free kurdistan

@apocu I think informing people on social media is helpful too, especially if it's a place like Mastodon where it's decentralized. The government may be able to block a site like facebook or twitter but it would be hard to do so on Mastodon since it's many different sites. @stux

@apocu maybe I'll write more about censorship resistance tools, because people under dictatorships need these more than ever! Tor is one, and Freenet is used for things like that too (censorship-resistant publishing). It's difficult for governments to take down things that are published there.

@apocu Also, if this site isn't blocked, https://tails.boum.org/ is an operating system that's great for privacy, especially when dealing with sensitive information. It's "amnesic," meaning that it deletes traces of your activity after you shut it down. Have you heard of it before?
